David Farley | Design

David designs Sets and Costumes for Theatre, Opera and Live Events. He is Associate Designer for Slung Low. Among other awards, David was nominated for the Tony Award for Costume Design, and he and Timothy Bird were nominated for the Tony Award for Best Set Design, for Sunday In The Park With George at the Roundabout Theatre, New York. They also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for ‘Outstanding Set Design (Play or Musical)’ and David was nominated for ‘Outstanding Costume Design (Play or Musical)’ along with an ‘Outstanding Revival of a Musical’ nomination. He and Timothy Bird won the Olivier Award and the Evening Standard Best Design Award, as well as the Critics Circle Award, for its productions at the Wyndhams Theatre and the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Currently, some of David's work was on display at the V&A as part of the Staging Places Exhibition after representing the UK at the Prague Quadrennial Exhibition and he is an Associate Lecturer at Wimbledon College of Arts.
